Five Great Tech Events during the Week Starting From June 18

The week starting from Monday June 18 has been particularly important as five different events, arranges/sponsored by the four Global tech companies, Microsoft, Nokia, Verizon and Samsung are being arranged in US during this week.

The events arranged by the 4 tech leaders are:

Media Event by Microsoft in Los Angeles: Monday June 18
‘Future of Windows Phone’ Event by Microsoft: Wednesday June 20
FiOS by Verizon: Monday June 18
Nokia: Monday June 18
Launch of Samsung Galaxy S III in Week Starting from June 18

Events arranged by Microsoft

Immediately after TechEd in Florida from June 14 to June 16, a special event in Los Angeles would be held on Monday June 18 but no details are given by Microsoft about its activities. Immediately after the Media Event on Monday June 18, another Microsoft event is planned in San Francisco on Wednesday June 20 on the topic of ‘Future of Windows Phone’.

FiOs by Verizon

In a YouTube teaser, Verizon looks to be assuring us that Internet is near to be changed forever, starting from Monday. Verizon is going to provide its FiOS customers a speed boost up to 300 Mbps for downloading the stuff from Internet starting from current June and June 18 looks to be an official rollout date for this program.

Nokia

When Nokia went on Facebook page on Friday, it was just confusing what the 06.18.12 would mean. Many tech media people tried to relate this event with that arranged by Microsoft on the same day but the next morning, Facebook US page announced that ‘808 reasons to be excited about Monday’ making its clear that it was about the 808 PureView phone with 41 MP camera. It is expected that Nokia will release its PurView for the US as well in this Event.

Samsung

And Samsung, the Korean giant is going to launch its new flagship, Samsung Galaxy S III, in US during the same week. After the marvelous success in UK, we have to see its success level in US.

So, this week would be a hot week for the tech lovers.

Nokia Event on June 18 is About Launching PureView in US?

Late on Friday, the Facebook fans of Nokia were excited to see the strange image, displaying merely ‘06.18.12’ but then in the Morning, it was made clear that it may be related to the launch of Nokia PureView in US.

Media was very much concerned about the announcement of 06.18.2012 on Facebook. Great speculations were about the relationship with the urgently announced Media Event of Microsoft and the rumors about the expected joint venture between Nokia and Microsoft were in the air. Then on the morning, another image with the date of 06.18.2012 was posed at the Facebook page of Nokia. At that time, again the Internet was echoing with the news that Nokia is planning to introduce the 808 PureView phone with its 41 megapixel camera.

The Nokia US Facebook page was highlighted by the words: ‘808 reasons to be excited about Monday’; means the event is about the 808 PureView.

Introduction

808 PureView with 41 MP camera was first introduced in February in the various parts of World but planned to be introduced in the other parts of the World later this year. But, it was mentioned, specifically, by Nokia that this phone is not for the North America. But, in May, it was announced by Chris Weber, the US Head of Nokia in US, that an unlocked version will be introduced in US as well.

What happens in the event, is still secret. Let’s see.

How to Startup Your Android Phone for Use by Associating with Google Account

When you are about to start using the Android phone, the first requirement is to startup your phone for which you are required to go through the following steps:

Using the Existing Google Account

Step: 1
You are required to associate your Android phone with a Google account. In case of G1, please click Android logo and a brief description would appear asking you for the Google account.

Step: 2
Here, touch ‘Next’ where you would be asked; if you want to use existing Google account or want to create a new one.

Step: 3
If you want to use the existing account, simply touch the ‘Sign In’ button.

Step: 4
Enter your username and password and touch the ‘Sign In’ button again.

And you would be using the existing Google account to startup your mobile account. Now, you would receive the notification of confirmation that your Google account is now associated with your Android phone.

If you typed the wrong username and/or password, you would either required to retype it or create a new account.

Creating a New Google Account

If you do not have the Google account or you want to start with fresh account, follow these steps:

Step: 1
Tap the Create button.

Step :2
Enter the following data and tap Next:

-      First name
-      Last name
-      Username

Step: 4
If you cannot avail your choice of a username, type new username or may select from some alternative usernames, generated automatically, by sliding your finger up and down the list to scroll through it. Tap the alternative and tap Next.

Step: 5
Here you are required to enter a password and set up a security question which is required for you in case you forgot your password in future. Then tap Create.

Tips for the Password

1. It must be about 8 character long minimum
2. A good and acceptable password must be a mix of:
1. a. Uppercase
2. b. Lowercase letters
3. c. Must not be a real word
4. d. Must consist of both numbers and special characters in addition to letters

Step: 6
Here you are required to read through the Google Terms of Service and touch I agree, and tap Next.

Step: 7
After the phone communication with Google’s servers is complete, enter the text displayed in the CAPTCHA and touch Next.

Step: 8
Touch Finish and the initial setup at your Android phone is complete.
