Facebook has finally introduced a new feature to hide News Ticker. Just click the button and your ticker would hide and with another click your ticker would show again.
Facebook back in September 2011 introduced a new news feed viewer named as ‘Ticker’. It shows all the latest updates from your friends in the right side bar of your Facebook screen.
Users were very unsatisfied with the ticker and wanted it to be removed. Developers also developed many browser extensions for its removal.
But, now Facebook has introduced an integrated button to hide ticker.
How to hide News Ticker?
- You would notice a new arrow button on the top right side of your Facebook News ticker box. (as shown in the image below). Clicking it would hide the ticker
- To see it again just click the button again and your ticker would be back
Looks like Facebook has finally heard the voice of its users and have included a built-in option.
Personally, I disliked that ticker and was using as extension to unhide it.
It would be great if Facebook also gave a choice between Timeline and old profile page.
