Dimension and Weight Specs of Lumia 925, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One Compared

The newly introduced Lumia 925, powered by Windows Phone, is claimed to be the competitor of both the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One, both the Android phones.

The announced and released dates of the smartphones are as under:

  • Lumia 925:                  May 2013, expected in June 2013
  • Samsung Galaxy S4:  March 2013, available in the market in April 2013
  • HTC One:                   February 2013, available in the market since March 2013.

The dimension and weight specs of all the three smartphones are compared below:

  2. On the contrary, Samsung Galaxy S4 is the thinnest in height with just 7.9 mm.
  3. Similarly, Samsung Galaxy S4 is the lightest smartphone with just the 130 gram weight.

The New Giant E Ink Reader by Sony with a 13.3” Flexible Display

Sony has, proudly, announced the biggest ever e-reader, created by E Ink reader with 13.3” display. It is flexible one, as compared to the previous biggest one by Amazon Kindle DX with 9.7”, discontinued last year. The e-reader, called Mobius, is manufactured by E Ink, using the TFT (Thin Film Transistor) technology which is as light as just 60 grams.

This A4 sized e-reader is, basically, developed keeping in view the professional and educational environments. It allows the users to write on screen just like writing on the paper with the use of electromagnetic induction and an optical touch panel.

Android & iOS are Leading the Mobile Market with 79.50% and 6.6% Increase in Share

As reported by IDC, the market share of Windows Phone is increasing, rapidly, with 133.30% increase in the market share despite its very small share of just 3.00% in 1Q2012 and 7.0% in 1Q2013. On the other hand, market share of Android and iOS OS is changing with 79.50% and 6.60% respectively from year to year.

A very interesting figure is about the BlackBerry OS which is losing its market by -35.10%.

Though the market share is still dominated by Android and iOS is still the runner up with 37.40% market share. The most interesting figure is that of Windows Phone which is increasing with marvelous speed of 133.3% from year to year.

An ordinary layman can also held Nokia for the great increasing rate of Windows Phone which is responsible for the 79% of all Windows Phone shipments, during the 1Q2013. Now, thanks to the Nokia-Microsoft collaboration the future of Windows Phone looks to be bright.
